In this lab students worked to measure the acceleration of a basketball. To accomplish this task students used a meterstick to apply a constant force on the ball. Students used a taped off tile floor to measure how far the ball traveled. At every second interval a few spitwads were thrown at the current location of the ball. After completion of the task students picked the most accurate spitwads to create a scatter plot that showed the results of the acceleration of the ball.
